The Actuarial
Mentoring Programme
The Actuarial Mentoring Programme is a global cross-company mentoring initiative delivered by Moving Ahead, and designed to improve diversity within the actuarial profession. The programme was launched in 2017 with the support of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and sponsorship from Pension Insurance Corporation plc©.
Since 2017, AMP has consistently demonstrated its impact and provided support to more than 800 mentors and mentees across 25 distinct organisations.
Initially created with the primary goal of retaining female actuaries in the profession by offering continuous career advice and development, AMP has evolved to embrace a broader objective of fostering a culture of inclusion within the actuarial profession. While supporting and empowering female actuaries remains a central focus of the program, we are now expanding our efforts to cultivate an inclusive environment for actuarial professionals, including actuarial students and bringing together a community of dedicated leaders who are committed to their own growth, the growth of others, and the advancement of the profession.
