Eleanor was Chair of Women in Journalism 2014-2021 and spent 25 years as an award-winning editor at The Sunday Times of London where her roles included Editorial Director, Editor Sunday Times Magazine. Saturday Editor, The Times, columnist, interviewer and feature writer. Her publications include Cupcakes and Kalashnikovs: 100 Years of the Best Journalism by Women, published by Hachette. She appears regularly as a broadcaster on radio and TV and has been a thought-leader on diversity for the past 20 years, including being a Trustee of the New York based Centre for Talent Innovation, a Founder Member of Reporters Sans Frontiers UK and a trustee of the British Society of Editors.
Eleanor is the Founder of Noon.org.uk, home of the Queenager a platform which she established to change the narrative around the later stages of women’s lives to one more optimistic and fit for purpose and to combat gendered ageism.
