Gwen is the daughter of a civil rights activist and a life-long ally. She studied psychology at the University of Utah with a focus on child and adolescent development, then trained to become a teacher in neurodivergent, working with children with severe behaviour disorders, autism and the at-risk population in both the UK and US. Her wide-ranging experience centres on education and advocacy for diverse populations, including those with special educational needs, LGBTQ+, single parents, unconscious bias, diversity, allies, blended families and bullying.​
