Job purpose
To lead the strategic marketing communications and operational delivery of activity for the organisation. You will define and drive the brand to a range of stakeholders, tailoring messaging and developing marketing campaigns and activity. Building and leading a new marketing team, you will be key to further developing our brand proposition and to providing marketing direction across the organisation to support the three key areas of work.
Scope
As part of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with our CEO and senior leadership team. You will have multiple internal and external stakeholders and responsibility for small but growing marketing and communications team. You will lead on strategy and drive performance of your team, whilst providing reports to CEO and senior leadership team.
Key accountabilities
Manage the brand to ensure consistent communication of the organisation’s mission and values across all channels and will ensure that the integrity of the brand is maintained and promoted at all times Develop and oversee the delivery of a corporate communications strategy to build the organisation’s brand and reputation.
Develop a stakeholder engagement strategy to maximise relationships with clients, investors, partners and intermediaries.
Provide a new structure and framework in terms of branding and marketing from which your team can develop marketing activity to support the organisation’s activities, including market research, sales collateral and advertising.
Identify and effectively utilise a range of channels to deliver successful results including above the line, direct and digital marketing.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all marketing/communications activity.
Manage the marketing budget.
Build and lead a new marketing team; contributing to the development of a positive culture and high performing team through leading, coaching and supporting to ensure high employee engagement.
Uphold and promote Moving Ahead values and philosophy and act as ambassador for the organisation
Keep up to date with diversity and inclusion topics and themes.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Previous experience as a head of role, or similar.
An expert at delivering tailored messaging to a range of audiences and markets.
Used to managing multiple stakeholders at one time.
Proven track record of strategy development and operational delivery.
Strong team management and leadership experience.
Data led; know the data we need as a business, make it happen, and report on it.
Comfortable in a quickly growing, agile company.
